The Selfless Tranquiliser

the selfless tranquiliser
peaceful night, blissful night
that approaches with a might!
spreading it's wings all around
soothing the ambience with a peaceful sound.
as it reaches it's zenith
it crushes the sorrows beneath.
giving the 'lashes' a soothing lullaby
waving the pain a plain goodbye!
locking the doors of stress and pain
opening the windows of spiritual gain...!
but the approaching dawn
gives a feeling of anxiety and strain.
for it is always on the hunt for materialistic gain
feeding on the meadows of loss and gain!
